With a remarkable 40-year journey in the restaurant industry, Diane Stefanik’s career began humbly as a dishwasher. She quickly transitioned to waitressing, honing her hospitality skills before embarking on a transformative culinary path. In 2006, Diane joined Cornell University, where she learned to cook alongside some of the nation’s finest chefs. During her 18 years at Cornell, she mastered all kitchen stations, including a specialty in Asian cuisine, and developed her deep passion for creating unforgettable dishes.

 

After retiring from Cornell, Diane embraced an incredible new chapter as the head chef of The Legacy Lounge and Loom’s Ladle Catering at the beautifully renovated Loom in Waverly. Her dedication to excellence, diverse culinary expertise, and love for food shine through in every dish she prepares. Diane’s story is one of hard work, passion, and the pursuit of culinary perfection.
